The revolution will be beautiful!

Our story

Hi, I’m Kate

I grew up in Mid Wales, and now live in Stroud with my partner, and our two boys.

I love plants , flowers, and the natural world. With more than twenty years of organic horticultural experience under my belt, including an organic horticulture apprenticeship and growing fruit and veg at River Cottage, I set up Fox Lane Flowers in 2022.

Having begun growing flowers in my garden, I have now relocated to Oakbrook Community Farm in Stroud, where I can sow and grow even more gorgeous blooms and offer courses and workshops. I make seasonal bouquets and arrangements for any occasion, including weddings and funerals. I am passionate about growing and arranging beautiful homegrown flowers - if you’ve got a floral project in mind, feel free to get in touch for a chat. I am happy to advise on what flowers and foliage will be available at different times of the year.

Grown, not flown

Approximately 86% of the UK cut flower market is made up of imports. The main four environmental issues relating to cut flowers are carbon footprint, pesticide use, land and water use, and unsustainable and unrecyclable materials used for display and packaging.

Fox Lane Flowers:

  • Grow a variety of flowers using no-dig methods on a biodynamic community farm in the Cotswolds

  • Supply British-grown flowers to clients in Gloucestershire and the UK

  • Do not use chemical pesticides

  • Use natural pest management and organic fertilisers

  • Minimise water use and collect rainwater

  • Only use plastic-free, recyclable/reusable and/or biodegradable materials for display and packaging

“This is one of those rare gems of a business that I can't recommend highly enough. Once you have received a bunch of Kate's flowers, you will go no where else. Every bunch is made with love and passion. It's like the essence of Kate is in every bunch - sparky, authentic, refreshing, soul-full.  She is an artist and will always be my go to. Last Christmas I also had one of her stunning wreaths on my door - Passers by stopped to admire it like a work of art.  Which it was.  Every bunch nourishes the soul.”
